Laura Ellen is an alt-pop singer-songwriter, Tassie-born, Melbourne based. Her songwriting is piano-based and ties together elements of pop, soul & folk

Inspired by the likes of iconic female songwriters including Maggie Rogers, Holly Humberstone and Australia’s very own, Meg Mac.

Laura’s song themes are inspired by her journey of self discovery, and are an honest reflection of the experiences and struggles of life through her 20s including love, loss and real-life issues that many of us face today; as heard in her songs Burn Out and Feel It All.  Laura grew up around nature in Tasmania and finds the peacefulness always inspires her music. Always a risk taker, a dreamer, a deep feeler, these are themes that often occur in her music.

Laura Ellen is no stranger in the Melbourne music scene as she has spent years building her networks and increasing her knowledge on the music industry before revealing her solo project in June 2023 year. She has played across iconic venues in Melbourne including The Espy, Corner Hotel, Baxter’s Lot and The Bergy Seltzer.  After her debut of her original music at The Espy in 2021, Laura's audience had great anticipation over her debut single release in June 2023 titled "People Pleaser" which received a great response from local radio and international playlists. Laura is gearing up for her second single release in the first quarter of 2024.
